Got signed off yesterday. Then flew about 5 hours today. Flew all over the place..lol
leaned the mixture out a little more and the sparrow strainers are set to 22.5 degrees which is spot on for my plane.
The adsb out and transponder passed immediately woohoo...however I carbon fouled the plugs on the magneto..mixture was too rich. Fixed that last night now I have to put the plane back together again. Going flying tomorrow.
Did some more flying. Slowly getting better..wanted to watch the crew dragon launch from the air, but it got scrubbed.
Finished the install. GPS works, and have all the parameters setup. Went in pretty easily, I did laser cut a faceplate to go over the old opening for the kt76a. The faceplate also has a shelf to mount the ta50 antenna. Ignore the shiny screws, I’m waiting on black counter sunk ones still.
Installed the trig tt22 with adsb out. Well almost, just waiting for a coaxial cable. That being said it is powered up and working.
Getting some more hours flying. Engine is much happier with the carb rebuilt. Sparrow strainers set at 27.5 degrees still causing a pitch up even with full down trim. It did improve versus 30 degrees, but it doesn’t allow for hands off flight yet. Changed to 25 degrees for the next flight.
